Branded PDF Reports

Last updated

HireSalt can produce a formatted, shareable PDF report for any job. The report is designed to be sent to hiring stakeholders — such as department heads or external recruiters — who do not have a HireSalt account.

Before you start: Only shortlisted candidates appear in the PDF report. Shortlist your top candidates before generating the share link.

Generating a Share Link

  1. Open the job and click the Share button near the top of the page.
  2. HireSalt creates a time-limited token URL at /shared/<token> and copies it to your clipboard.
  3. Anyone with the link can view the report page in their browser without logging in.

Downloading the PDF

  1. Open the shared report URL (or send it to a colleague).
  2. Click the Download PDF button on the shared report page.
  3. The PDF downloads immediately. It contains all shortlisted candidates, each with their overall score, letter grade, per-category score breakdown bars, and an excerpt from the AI reasoning.

Branding

If your team has a logo and company name configured in Settings > Branding, they appear in the PDF header alongside the job title. Without branding configured, the report uses the HireSalt default header. Branding does not affect candidate data — only the header presentation changes.

Link Expiry

Shared links expire after 7 days. After expiry, the link returns an error page. To generate a fresh link, return to the job and click the Share button again. Each click creates a new link with its own 7-day expiry. Earlier links are not cancelled; each stays open until its own 7 days run out.

Privacy Considerations

Anyone who holds the link can view the report and download the PDF — no HireSalt account is required. Candidate names and scores are visible. If your hiring process uses blind screening, consider whether names should be visible before sharing the link externally. You can enable blind mode in the job settings before generating the share link to omit candidate names from the report.
