1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to HireSalt. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the service. Please read them carefully before creating an account or purchasing credits.

2. Service Description

HireSalt is an AI-powered resume screening platform. Users create job descriptions, upload candidate resumes, and receive AI-generated scores and analysis for each candidate. The platform is designed to help hiring teams evaluate applicants more efficiently by providing structured, criteria-based assessments.

3. Account Terms

When you create an account on HireSalt, you agree to the following:

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.
• Each individual may maintain only one account. Duplicate accounts may be suspended or removed.
• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the service.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Credits and Payments

HireSalt operates on a prepaid credit system. The following terms apply to credits and payments:

• One credit is consumed for each resume screening performed on the platform.
• Credits are purchased in packages: Starter (250 credits, ₹3,999), Growth (500 credits, ₹7,499), Agency (1000 credits, ₹12,999).
• Purchased credits never expire and remain in your account until used.
• All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR).
• Credits are non-transferable between accounts.
• New accounts receive complimentary starter credits to help you evaluate the platform.

5. Refund Policy

• Unused credits may be eligible for a refund within 7 days of purchase.
• Credits that have already been used for screening are non-refundable.
• To request a refund, please contact us at hello@hiresalt.com with your account details and purchase information.
• Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
• Yearly subscriptions (Scale and Enterprise) are eligible for a full refund if the refund is requested within 7 days of the first yearly payment and no resumes have been screened since the plan started; cancel the plan and email us to request the refund. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal, access continues until the end of the paid year, and no partial or pro-rata refunds are given. Renewal charges are non-refundable.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use HireSalt responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws. Specifically, you must not:

• Upload resumes or personal data that you are not authorized to screen or process.
• Use the service to facilitate discriminatory hiring practices based on race, gender, age, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI scoring algorithms or underlying models.
• Upload malicious files, viruses, or any content intended to disrupt the platform.
• Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access to your account.

7. AI Scoring Disclaimer

Please be aware of the following regarding the AI-powered scoring and analysis provided by HireSalt:

• AI-generated scores and analysis are advisory tools only. They are intended to assist, not replace, human judgment in hiring decisions.
• Scores should not be used as the sole basis for accepting or rejecting a candidate.
• HireSalt does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated analysis.
• You are solely responsible for your own hiring decisions and for ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

8. Intellectual Property

• You retain full ownership of the job descriptions, resumes, and other content you upload to HireSalt.
• HireSalt retains all rights to its platform, software, algorithms, scoring methodology, and branding.
• AI-generated analysis and reports are provided to you as part of the service for your internal use.

9. Limitation of Liability

HireSalt is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• HireSalt shall not be held liable for any hiring decisions made using scores or analysis generated by the platform.
• Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the total fees you have paid to HireSalt in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• In no event shall HireSalt be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Termination

• You may close your account at any time using Delete Account on your Settings page. If you are the only owner of a team, you must transfer ownership before you can delete your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice.
• Upon termination, any unused credits are forfeited unless a refund is requested within the 7-day refund window described in Section 5.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update or modify these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of HireSalt after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of HireSalt shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
