Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners about how their site is used. This policy explains which cookies HireSalt uses and why.
Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core features such as login and form security. No personally identifying information is stored in these cookies beyond what is needed for the session.

Analytics
Analytics run only on our public pages: the home page, articles, help center, legal pages, and the sign-in and sign-up pages, and only while you are signed out. They never run inside the app.
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits to these pages. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, so it needs no consent. With each page view Cloudflare receives your IP address, the page address, the referring page, browser and device details, and page-load performance timings. Cloudflare states that it does not use your IP address or browser details to fingerprint you.
Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics loads, and sets the cookies below, only after you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Until then it is not loaded and sets no cookies. Like the rest of our analytics, it runs only on public pages and never inside the app. Declining has no effect on how the platform works.

Payment Processor Cookies
When the Razorpay payment modal loads during a credits purchase, Razorpay may set cookies prefixed
with __razorpay. These cookies
are set and controlled by Razorpay Software Private Limited, not by HireSalt. They are used by
Razorpay to operate their secure payment checkout. They are only present when you initiate a purchase
and are governed by
Razorpay's privacy policy.
How to Manage Cookies
Browser settings
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies at any time. The links below take you to the cookie settings for the most common browsers:
Note: blocking the session
cookie will prevent you from logging in. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the platform.
Cookie settings
To change your Google Analytics choice, use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any public page. It reopens the banner. Choosing Decline turns Google Analytics off and deletes its cookies for this site.
Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, under the key
hs_analytics_consent
with the value accepted or
declined. It stays on your
device and is not sent to HireSalt. If you clear your browser's site data, the banner asks again.
Do Not Track
HireSalt respects the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal. When DNT is on, we do not show the cookie banner or the Cookie settings link, Google Analytics is never loaded, and no analytics cookies are set. Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, still counts the visit. You can turn on DNT in your browser's privacy settings.
Google Analytics Opt-out
For additional control over Google Analytics tracking across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which is available for all major browsers. This prevents Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits to any website that uses it.
